I'm more curious about all these gift-buying/exchanging.

Is it a 1-way traffic or 2-way?

For those who receives......do you also buy back?
For those who dun, do you give?
For me, I have to seek permission if I want to buy him something expensive. The rule has been there since we were dating. DH doesn't quite like surprises. He rather I consult him before I buy. Like yesterday I saw a coach wallet, wanted to get it to replace his old one. Talked to him last night. He disagreed saying its too expensive. He told me to tell him when I see a cheaper one. No brand also never mind.

I bought him leather gloves (those for cycling), a leather smart cover for his iPad mini and a salon hair cut package last year. All with his permission. He is the kind who want to choose so I have to tell him.

On normal days, I pamper DH in the following ways:
1. When we are out, I offer to pay if anything catches his eye (he rarely accepts)
2. Return home with his favourite food when I'm out with friends
3. Offer to accompany him to sim lim (trust me, I'm a familiar face there)
4. Top up his junk food at home so that it never runs out
5. Offer vouchers which he can use to claim for massage at home (obviously with conditions attached)
6. Offer to have fast food with him

Hey The Answer,

We can shake hands :hi5:
Hubby is an android person...I can never bring myself to use Samsung no matter how he praises it...in fact before I got my iPhone 5, he was still singing praises of the S3. I played with the demo unit and after 1 min, I told him...cannot.

We got a pair of iPhone 4...but he cannot stand it, just like I cannot stand android.

Now my DH and I are using different phones. He upgraded his iPhone 4S to Nokia Lumia 920. He upgraded mine to iPhone 5 as I wasn't interested in Nokia Lumia. I actually do not like to change phones but DH loves to upgrade phones so I just let him be. All the set up he will do. After that he will teach me how to use it. I'm like an IT idiot!

Honestly speaking, I have zero interest in IT stuff. I just go with the flow.

When hubby’s plan was due for upgrade, he got Samsung 3s…I got my iPhone 5 and delighted with it, except for the lightning cable…which I find so ridiculous.

He will register and transfer all my contacts over via PC…also add in credit card for downloading of apps (must be free, or else Kenna nagged).

The one time he bought me flowers was just before we got married...we were at wholesalers shop...saw the bunch of pink tulips. After that, I told myself, flowers are not practical.
Agree. Flowers are not practical but.... They do brighten up the home and lighten the mood. I's nice to walk amongst the flowers at the wholesaler to choose my bunch to bring home.
I am not a flowers/jewelry/make-up type of wife...all those romantic stuff is not my cup of tea, thank goodness. Anyway, if I expect hubby to whisk me to some giddy French restaurant, I would be very disappointed. My hubby's gifts have always been related to his interests - IT. So I receive iPhone or iPad...either with pink or red protective covers. Valentine's day gift this year is samsung tablet (la fleur).

Hey Janet,

Looks like we are on the same boat. The gifts I get are also related to his interest.

Hey you ladies very lucky already la

i only get hand down phone when my dh upgrades his phone le
Haha... All you ladies very lucky leh.

DS gets the hand down phone from DH. I'm happy with my \"antique\" mobile, though they keep bugging me to upgrade. 😄

I also wear tshirts that are more than 10 years old. I wear them at home. Comfy.

I'm using the older model Nokia Lumia 900. I prefer this windows phone over iphone. Much easier to use le. My iphone4 pass to my dd1

I thought the same way too, that's why no hurry to switch, only started using iphone4 last year

Now I don't think I can revert to days without smart phones anymore. So addictive!

I can viber my best friend everyday. We used to blow 300 sms quota on each other every month. Viber is free (whatapps not free for iphone) and can send pics too. So good. Now with windows phone, we switch to communicating on whatapps (free for windows phone).

I don't use iphone to surf though, screen too tiny for me. Two of my friends complained eye sight deteriorate after watching drama on their iphones. I use internet sharing on my smart phone to connect to samsung galaxy tab & then read manga while waiting for kids. Galaxy tab's screen is much bigger.

My existing Nokia windows phone screen also bigger than iphone so sometimes I do use it to surf when outside & without my galaxy tab. At least no need to strain my eyes that much unlike surfing using iphone
