School bus fare

Emelyn:
Wow! That's incredibly ex :faint: What time does she reach home?Sigh.
What all of you are paying pales in comparison to what I pay for DD......
$180 from Jurong East to St Nicholas in Ang Mo Kio......
And it is for 1-way.
If 2 way..... $220. :yikes: -
wdiong:
One of the reason the fare is as such, is because the school bus is committed and obliged to pick up the SNG girls at 2 timings : School dismissal at 1:15pm/1:45pm, and CCA/Supp Class dismissal at 4pm.

My 2 DSes used to take school bus too. $35 one way (that's because very near), but if need adhoc picking after supp class or CCA, it will be $2 per trip.
It takes about 30-45mins to reach home, depending on the number of students the bus aunty needs to send home before her. -
my boy is taking a 10 seaters minibus back to my mum's place which is more than 2km ie. single way. Mthly fare is $120 and even on holiday mth, need to pay the full fare too :moneyflies:
-
$90 (two ways - abt 3.5km - 15 min bus ride). Small school bus.
Ps - I had paid $180 for Jan 12 & Dec 12. zzzz -
Earthwire, yours is cheap

-
Ours…
$53 (two-ways)
$40 (one-way)
Previous school…
$39 nett (regardless two ways or one way)
About 10mins to school thereabouts. Hehee… agaration oni orh. -
Bus operators don’t earn $ during school hols, hence full month’s fees still payable.
-
We are charged $100 for one-way from school (Bukit Timah) to home (Bishan). $110 for 2-way.
On months which DD stays back for CCA / enrichment, we will need to pay $20 extra.
Is this extra charge normal? -
Understand that these drivers need to eat and still pay for the buses even though we do not use their service in June and Dec. However, I have always felt that they could have incorporated that june & Dec fees into the other 10 mths. At least that way, parents won’t get that ‘arm kenna twisted’ and being made to pay when no service is rendered. And there are those parents who feel that since I paid for June & dec, why am I not getting the school bus service when my kid needs to go to school during the holidays.
I have asked the bus drivers that my centers engage about this and they say aiyah all the while like that, want to change oso difficult. -
hello all…
mine school is for Kindergarten… 2-5mins drive (i have to take transport cos i’m working and caregiver looking after another bb)…
2 ways : $100
1 way: $70
and…pick up is 1 hr earlier.
no choice to take 2 ways… forced to take 1 way… sigh…
Tell me these drivers are not making money~~
