This is school is getting hot! Historically, there used to be vacancies for phase 3 right?

Hmmm ... ya, maybe that's why pple have the concept that schools with vacancies in phase 3 are for those who \"cannot make it\" šŸ˜“

i can understand the disappointment when parents didn't manage to enroll their children into the preferred choice of primary sch. But i strongly believe every school has the ability to produce good results especially with the help from parents and students' hard work. I saw ex-students wearing RI, VS, Dunman High uniform visiting their teachers šŸ˜„

      phtthp:

Some of these sc k2 kids coming into opera soon (balloted out of st Hilda) - their standard high, already doing p1 work standard outside at enrichment centre(s). This is good mix.
Phtthp, i find your reply on \"their standard high ... ...\" rather disturbing. What makes you think that those who enrolled into OEPS under earlier phases are not of similar or even higher standard? Imho, i feel that it is too early to use the word \"standard\" at this stage.

At the close of the Phase 2C(S) Registration, OEPS is one of the oversubscribed school.

      http://i39.tinypic.com/2agp6a9.png\">

If i remember correctly for the past years, OEPS phase 2C(S) was sort of risk free in balloting even you are staying >2km.

Maybe there are more existing students with siblings this yr or more parents are open to non-branded school under phase 2C ... ... be it any reasons, I hope parents continue to support and work with their child regardless which school he/she enters.

The take up rate for this school has increased 5% in the first round.. hopefully 2C will still be ok.. 🤷 Bakebean do you see any dramatic improvement in the school ? Or is it that the current student population has a large % of kids with siblings?

      Thanks
hmmm ... now reflects phase 1 registration, should be due to siblings intake šŸ˜„

      sweetbaby:

Thx u thats very informative. i'm planning to place DS on schoolbus but wondering about CCA days. What time do CCA starts and ends? Is there bus services to pick up after CCA? I know some schools have multiple pick up times, how about opera estate?
CCA starts at 2pm and ends at 4pm. Some CCA are conducted once a week while some are twice weekly. OEPS website is up, you may check out the list of CCA available and details under the CCA page.

      http://i46.tinypic.com/16bdlr4.png\">

However, please note that CCA is not compulsory for P1 and P2. Also, not all CCA take in P1 and P2 students.

Multiple pick up timing? As far as I know all levels end their lessons at 1:30pm. Students taking school bus will proceed to their respective bus queue. CCA pick up is at 4pm, but not many students taking. Most of the time I saw 2 mini buses. Student care ends at 6pm but not sure about the bus pick up timing.

Cases where parents need to self arrange transport:
• 1. There are no extra classes for P1 and P2, except for student under learning support program. I am not sure about the program schedule, hence unable to share much.
    •

• 2. For opt-in activities after lessons. School does source for some non-aca program (eg. kids athletic) for students who are keen to enroll, of cos at a cost which deductible via edusave. This program usual runs for 4-6 lessons ie. 4-6 weeks. During this period, parents have to self arrange pickup or check if bus operator able to take up this assignment at a separate fees.
    •
Transport arrangement can be troublesome, that is why many parents choose not to let their kids take on CCA for the 1st year.
