We are charged $100 for one-way from school (Bukit Timah) to home (Bishan). $110 for 2-way.


On months which DD stays back for CCA / enrichment, we will need to pay $20 extra.

Is this extra charge normal?

Mine is $75 for 2-way (15mins trip). Extra is $70 per term.

I am paying $120 for one-way from school to grandparents' place (~30min) on a 10-seater bus.

the CCA extra seems to be about there. I used to pay abt $40/45 per term or $75/semester.

my girl used to pay abt $4/trip for another school. So if got more CCA/remedial...can lao-sai!!!

For my $20, I only pay for the months which DD needs to stay back. Meaning I don't have to pay for June and Dec, so $200 for the whole school year.

I believe it is charged by terms, so still need to pay during school holiday. Am still considering whether to let DD takes the bus, or she takes public transport herself. :evil:

So all the while parents have to pay school holidays like in Jan & Dec. Wonder can MOE form a task force to review the current system?

Mine is $60 one way, must also pay for June n dec…Cca days hv to pay extra $2 per trip. About half hour bus journey.

I hv no issue abt paying for Jun n dec hols…what irks me is the lack of price transparency…at the end of day, I m not sure if I’m overcharged or not…until I saw this forum…

My son just started P1 this year. I just want to find out if it is common practice by bus operators to also charge P1 students Dec 2011 fare in Jan 2012? I mean, he hasn’t even started taking the school bus yet and they are collecting bus fare for that month? Isn’t this being opportunistic?
