        vlim:

        Hippopotamus Anatomy
There is no other creature in the world that displays as unique of a body at the Hippo. They are well known due to the rounded barrel shape of their bodies. This is the core part of them and where most of the bulk comes in. The mouth as well as the teeth of a Hippo are very large. If you haven’t had the chance to see them in person, you should look at pictures of them online. It is really amazing!

They have very little hair on their bodies which is why they live in hot regions. However, they are also vulnerable to sunlight so they stay in the water until dusk. When it is very hot out they may have their entire body submerged and all you see is eyes if you focus carefully in those bodies of water.

da da...i google search for the answer... πŸ•Ί
        Rounded barrel shape body:
        All the better to body-slam...

        Large teeth:
        All the better to bite...

Can stay submerged, exposing only the eyes:
All the better to spy on...

        WHO??? I wonder!

          MummySTay:

Just called up RGS Popular bookshop.

Sec 1 textbooks will only be available on 22 Dec and after.
No reservations allowed; cannot buy before that... It's the school rules. (According to the person who answered the phone)

Looks like there would be a snaking queue on that day. Sigh...
Only good thing is books are already pre-packed. πŸ˜„
If dun want to buy all, can go for loose items too.

          No...make that 2 snaking queues!
          Another for the uniforms.

Thanks for the info, MummySTay. Would you know if I have to bring cash or do they accept credit card / cheque payments? Thanks and see you on 22 Dec πŸ™‚

          Hi, strangequark,

See you on 22. πŸ˜„[/quote]Parents and kids reporting on 22 Dec to sec sch, to be on the safe side, I was told by my frens to bring about $400 - $500 cash for books and uniforms. Some schs have no NETS or credit card or cheque payment, purely cash!

:yikes: About $300 for books alone? Wow!
Does the school use the books in the first place?

Anyone can share whether should wear primary or new secondary school uniform when going for scholarship presentation in Jan 2012 ?

I think both r acceptable as long as u wear ur uniform or u may call the cc during the office hr if u worry . The contact has stated in the letter .

Thanks. Called today, they mentioned it is up to student's discretion, primary or secondary uniform also can : )

Received the EAGLE award as well, just mention to collect from school, so I just confirmed today that it is from primary school : )
                    Thanks again
