well at least, he was on his way home, fortunately!
Well, my older son has fallen asleep on the bus home and ended up in another town. haha!

I think most schools are pretty jammed up after a certain time.
Today traffic outside RGS was very smooth, but that could be due to 2 reasons.
DD reached school early at 6.50am and more importantly, year 2 to 4 girls only start school tomorrow. I guess, for us, tomorrow will be a better gauge of how bad the traffic is. -

Hi phankao,phankao:
How was the first day of school for all the new Sec 1 Mummies and Daddies? Anyone hung around school to kaypoh?

It was such a slow morning, bc all my older kids don't start school until next week. My Sec 1 son didn't want me to walk him to school. I just dropped him off at the roadside at 7.25am and waited until he'd walked in. *hehe*.... then I also walked in and KPO with some other parents. But bc their school starts late - well, I left at 7.45am bc I needed to send my 3yo to school. At that time, the flag-raising hadn't started yet, altho' they'd just announced for the Sec 2/3/4s to file in for assembly.
Passed by the street outside CHS this morning. Very jammed with buses and cars. Is it always So jam in the morning ?
I think so! But I never use that road. All these years, I've only dropped my boys off at the Primary back gate at Pemimpin. The one time it rained, and I tried to use the front gates. I sure learnt my lesson. So even if it rains, I would use the backgate and ask them to run in if there's no spare umbrella. HAHA! Much faster!
Today, I used another side gate too, to drop him off. I know the place very well, lah. Already been sending for 8yrs. Now... another at least 9 more years there!!! And if my youngest chooses to stay on for Secondary as well, then it'd be ANOTHER 4 more yrs. Wah. -

Yes, my eldest in JC2. Both she and elder boy don't start school until next Monday. -

jtoh:
Nope...quite difficult to get in unless already in the school's IP. Furthermore, she did not take HCL at O-levels, so don't have that extra bonus points. She's at AJC.

phankao:
That's true. That's why quite a few students I know who aren't good in HCL take Malay as a third lang for the bonus points.
