Sounds like a substantial number of kids made it through round 1. Is this true across the board?
My kid is in a GEP school and even then, I’m surprised by the number going by MOE’s lines. -
Wow so many . About 5 in my DD’s class (including her ). There’s no streaming in P2 in her school so all classes are mixed ability.

My sons class 7 includes him. Don’t know about other class. Non GEP school

Yes, this is a GEP school.Those that did not get through to GEP, they are in HA class.

my daughter is in a girl’s school, 10 opted out of GEP screening, so 29 girls in her class sat for it. 5 got into round 1. So it does seem like the number is high…who knows？

For sure. It makes me think about the demographics of kids who got into round 1 though.

My kid was in a neighbourhood school and in her year less than five from the whole cohort into second round. And only some famous schools have more than one bus load of students got into second round that they need to hire bus to transport the kids to venue for second round.
