Haha....DD bought 1 tie during Orientation but she forget her tie last week for assembly so she had to buy another tie from the prefectorial Board. Now....she has 2 ties. Hopefully, her tie collection won't grow by year end...keke

        $65 is rather steep!

DD has been allocated her locker and has started using it as well.
So far, DD has not asked for any money for the rental.
Will update when I have the info.

        Hi MummySTay,

RGS charges $15/year for rental of locker and $8 to buy a locker padlock.
This will form part of the 'supplementary fee & other fee' payment, to be deducted by Giro on the 15 Feb. šŸ˜‚

        Thanks, Tinklebelle.
Luckily, there are parents like you around to provide info. šŸ˜„[/quote]You're welcome, MummySTay.
We are all here to share. You've been providing us with lots of useful info too. šŸ˜‰

Just leave one tie permanently in the school bag. She'll never forget it. It'll look a bit giam chye but better giam chye than a whole collection right?

That's what my son has been doing since he was in primary school, even till now. He only puts on the tie when he reaches his school and takes it out before leaving the school and puts it immediately into his bag. That way, he'll not risk forgetting his tie. šŸ™‚

                  Guardian Nephew:

Thank you so much for welcoming me! My nephew is in Marsiling Sec and from what i heard from him is that lockers mostly are available for those taking Sports CCA only.

Just to share, how do you cope if your child was punish in school for not having a textbook (the school bookshop books was out of stock since Dec 2011) and was made to copy every word of the textbook (example 2pages on the textbk) on a foolscap paper?

I'm kind of shock after all its only the 2nd lesson on that subject. Will appreciate any suggestions/feedback on this. :thankyou:

I will not mind if punishment are not excessive and level of which are appropriate. Write 2 pages of text ok lah. After all, we are already in the 3rd week of school term, cannot still give excuse that the textbk is not available in the bookshop. You can always get it from outside of school at bookshops. The teacher also need to set some discipline standard in the beginning. But if it become a norm, then either there is something wrong with teacher :siao: or your nephew will need some help.

The school has inform us to get all our books from the school bookshop which was confirm by the general office as well (when i called in to check) as to avoid getting the wrong book. My elder sister has already made full payment to the school bookshop for the books and its a waiting period not just for us but also other parents as well. Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it :rahrah:

So far DS has remembered to bring his tie to school.

But already on his second badge and nearly lost it again the past few days.
                    Sigh.

Speaking of ties, I forgot to bring my tie the other day and went to buy another tie that cost me 7 bucks. Ended up going without food for recess for two entire days -__-
