3Boys:
haha... your suggestion removed both lust and $$ !
Perhaps we go back to the good old days when eunuchs were the court officials....Belle2011:
Sigh... human beings are so easily tempted!
Men would be linked to money and women.
Would women be linked to money and men ?
Castration as a pre-requisite for civil service, anyone? We seem to expect our leaders to be monks already, why not go one more step further? -
insider:
Your choice. My heart bleeds for them and their families.
I shall continue to cast stones! -
Look, when one has power, money and status, it is easily be tempted.
I hope the authority can continue to dig deeper to eliminate such people. -
Belle2011:
Nah, perhaps the WP need to convene their own independent COI, with YSL as the chair, to investigate Civil Service malfeasance.Look, when one has power, money and status, it is easily be tempted.

Read that both were scholars. I pity their parents, wives and children…must not be easy, having to live with the sins of one.
On the bit about monks and eunuchs. Remember there is one who owned a racehorse, and then there were those vowed to a lifetime of celibacy but they turned either to women still or worse, children under their power sphere. Liddat also cannot.
Haizzzzzz, at least this will serve as a reminder to such people that paper cannot hide fire. -
3Boys:
Unsure if YSL is such free as he is rather BUSY

Precisely my point. We make a big song and dance about wanting people who have 'strong morals', consider public service a 'calling', willing to make 'sacrifices', but yet, are at the top of their jobs.On the bit about monks and eunuchs. People are people. Who are we kidding? Be thankful for what we have, it could have been much worse.
We stand by the wayside and cast stones. Which of us have stood in those shoes? What qualifies us?
'Let ye who is without sin, cast the first stone.'
Not I. -

Of course it is wrong to corrupt but until such time that they are proven guilty, we should be measured in our comments. Dont forget CPIB recently just clear a former Principal of any wrong doing after their investigation.
