This is what happened to my friend. She wanted her child to get into GEP so badly she prepped her for it, making her do all sorts of math and english questions etc. BUT in spending time on GEP prep, she ignored her SA2. In the end the girl didn’t make it to GEP and didn’t do well for SA2 either. It was too late for regrets.

I truly agree with jtoh, it’s better to focus on SA2. Let nature takes it’s course.

Thanks for the gentle reminder jtoh Really bring me back to the fundamental and the priority!! Today is the SA2 compo and can see that she is quite stressed up already

Was so tempted to consider signing my girl up for GEP crash course, feeling so guilty that we are throwing her to the deep see without any prior coaching....and she might just waste the 2 precious days which can be better used for SA2 revision instead...

Even if she passes the first round, I will not send her for any special classes to prepare her for the second round.

If she gets through the second round, fine. If she doesn’t, also fine. Doesn’t matter cos she’s still in school and studying hard, like the good and smart girl that she and I both know she is.

Yup, same my dd's school also no news. I asked her about it and she said that her teacher didn't announce anything.

Ds’ class has 20/44 kids got in. Whole sch 35 /300 kids

Btw, r classrooms in Andersen pri airconed? Can wear sweater during tests?
