Heard that those who go for all the GEP prep classes can normally go through round 1 easily but can’t go pass round 2 unless they are naturally gifted. I have a friend whose kids are "naturally smart", no tuition, no prep classes etc, got selected for GEP but in the end, both decided not to join the programme as they had to switch schools.

My DD did say that she couldn’t finish the last couple of questions in today’s paper. She was stuck on one question. I asked her why she didn’t move on to the next, she said she took a look and they were just as hard.

Any idea what is the format of the Maths paper today?? DS said he didnt do 4 questions, is it a lot?

No lah, DS also cannot do 4-5 questions. His friend cannot do 9 questions. But then again ..does not mean the more questions they can do, it means that they get it right.

My gal enjoyed the GA Paper (both English and Maths)…she said the toughest was the Maths paper…she did not have much time left for the last question n just anyhow scribbled an answer.

                    Puzz...zzle:

In this case, won't know the boy is really Gifted by Nature or get in after Drill....drill.....drill...
At risk, wheather the boy can cope once in P4?? Parents got to think twice.
But those who get in without Prep, think more likely will do well and enjoy the programme.
Such kids will probably still do well in GEP, with good attitude, extra enrichments and parental help. It's a fallacy to assume all will do badly. Attitude plays an important part as well.

Parents have shared in the past their kids got selected despite not completing the entire paper. Still got hope for your ds :xedfingers: Mine didn't finish one question today too. Too exhausted to think straight.
