Bernard (96349649) tunes my piano as well as quite a few of my students’ pianos.
As for movers for piano, yes, you can use home movers but it is a bit risky as they are not used to moving pianos so they may not watch out for corners, angles etc. After your move wait for a month or so and have it tuned.

RE: All About ABRSM Grades & Support
Hmm, I have never encountered exam stewards who asked me to erase any markings…and my last AB exam was some 25 yrs ago?!? Gosh! haha!
If it’s aural/ear training one is looking for, I think MYC is a good choice. -

Of course it is. There is no need to erase any kind of markings. Seriously don’t understand why some teachers make students do that…

RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers
Any kind of lesson, taken seriously, will require effort. Singing has a separate set of difficulties compared to piano. Your voice is your instrument. So to start singing, and I do mean vocal training, you need to start of with a decent instrument. Not all are cut for this. After that it goes into training of sound projection, breathing techniques, phrasing etc etc.
If it’s exploration you are looking for, then perhaps a group class, whether from Yamaha, Cristofori, or other music schools would be advisable. That’s for exposure. From there one can decide where the strengths and interests are. -

Building the right foundation is so important. Get a good start and the child may find the grades less of a uphill struggle.

You can try some of the apps available for music aural. Like e-musicmaestro or ABRSM’s own app.

Chenchen, may well be that the teacher wants to have a goal for your DD to work towards, systematically.

RE: All About Piano Lesson Costs
Probably looking at $160 - 180 per month for grade 1; $180-200 per month for grade 2. A lot depends on the qualification and experience of the teacher.
