Hi Mrs Seah, you are not dreaming. It is good to aim high & work towards it. School papers are usually tougher than PSLE. If you are looking for better school, do consider Cedar Girls. It is a very good school (COP 248, IP) My niece (T score 258) who was unable to get in Raffles Girls, went to Cedar Girls. She did very well for her O level & she is now in RI. I will be very happy if my P1 girl could go Cedar Girls next time. At the mean time, just hope that my P6 boy could go Catholic High. Nan Chiau High will be second or third choice.

      :imcool:

Mummy So Kiasu, Cedar COP for O Level is 248 but their IP COP is 258.

Ok, noted. It is not reflected on the Sec Schools Selection booklet. Anyway, thanks for the info, Pen88n. :snuggles:
You can find the info here, seems Cedar O Level is now 249

COP for IP will only be reflected in your 2012 PSLE booklet which will be given out later part of the year to all P6 PSLE students. Same goes for VS.

The other new IP school we will see the IP COP this year after the school selection. This list will include SJI, St Nick, SCGS, CHS, MGS. Not sure if SJI and MGS will adopt the same approach as ACSI in only having an internal COP for IB programme - not published in PSLE sch selection booklet at all.

I heard SJI will follow the Cedar and VS approach and not rely on an internal COP

My son is aiming for all boys sec...thanks to his sister's constant yakking about advantages of single sex school :faint: He is aiming for SJI, ACS Independent, ACS Barker. St Andrew's and Maris Stellar rather far.

Not forgetting Catholic High (IP,SAP) & Hwa Chong are also very good boys' schools. You need 6 schools. Good Luck! :rahrah:

I would like to dream BIG but then have to be realistic too. My son is not Hwa Chong/CH material. In fact, if he shoots 250, I think it will be still be appeal case to enter ACS I.

My eldest son is studying in Northland Primary. Any parents with kids there?

Hoping that he can go to Victoria or Raffles.

School papers tend to be higher standard than PSLE. Still have hope & another 6 months to catch up. At the mean time, let jia you together.

We are referring to Sec 1 in 2013. Your son is only in P4, still have another 2 more years. He will discuss or hear from his friends, which school to go to by the time he goes to P5. Parents could also discuss with their kids & go to Sec schools open house. All the best!
