I think only consideration is your ds prefer hci or njc...becos chances of going in hci is extremely high at 261 points....

NCHS has no IP, so if u just want IP, u can consider SJI, VS, Catholic High as well.

You should put the one with higher COP first. It will not affect your chance of getting into MS. Try to choose schools not more than 2 points above your child's score. Make sure than the last 2 choices are at least 2 points below your child's score.

U mean it will not affecr my chance of getting HD S (Hai Sing) if I put MS first choice and MS 2nd choice?

My son score 244 + 2 . Any chance of getting into VS (247), if I appeal?

The 6 choices of the school will be as follow:

1) VS(247) -3
2) ACSI (247) -3
3) CHS (248) -2
4) Nan Hua High (243) +3
5) SJI (242) + 2
6) Chung Cheng Main (237) +9

244 is unlikely to succeed in VS appeal, unless your ds has some skills which fall into VS' niche. Also bearing in mind that VS cop may go up.

by the way, where do you stay? your choice of schools are quite spread out in spore. you may also want to consider the distance factor.

assuming the cop for this year will be somewhat similar to last year, 233 is quite a few points off Crescent, IJ(TP) and SMSS. Chances are slim for these schools.

SMSS = st margaret's? SMSS has a higher COP than TKGS. so it is a bit weird to put smss as 4th choice. same for IJ(TP) too.

it will be better to push PLMGS and TKGS higher up your choice.

I'm new in this forum. My dd fared poorly , scoring 208 :(. At this stage, its about choosing the sec school. We stay at sengkang. And are looking for schools that are strict , good discipline (which I believe is generally a problem in schools with these lower cop, only a matter of degree). Worried abt peer negative influence as she's highly impressionable. With this score, the choices are really limited.. any advise?

2. pei hwa
3. sengkang sec
4. hougang sec
5. ?
6.?
we are thinking of appealing to Bo wen (based on her taekwondo black belt), any chances as the gap fr COP is so wide???

Maybe talk to edgefield? I understand they have quite a strong taekwondo team....
