Thank you Tutor_mum!!
To add my own funny wan
I am thankful to Ksp
For even though i do spend a lot of time here, squinting my eyes , reading up on iphone, staying up a few more minutes
it only shows, i can afford an iphone, i have some spare time, and my eyesight is not too bad
Ok dont shoot me , just \"joking'
Oops forgot thats its politically incorrect to do that :rotflmao: -
MMM:
I think my kids should be thankful for my nagging or scoldings as it means that they have a mum and I am still alive.
That's what I tell them. I'm planning to bring DS3 to China for 2 months at the end of the year. When I told DS1, he protested as it meant he had to his own laundry and clean his room. :gloomy: -
my kids should be thankful that they get to eat my bad cooking which means that they still have me cooking for them and have food to eat.

Thanks tutormum.
I read in one of the post, commenting something along the line that the low-income are well-taken care by govt while the middle-income are suffering 'hardship' as they are sandwiched and not receiving aids.....
I am thankful that I am at least in the middle-income. I may not have all the luxuries like the rich, but I can do without them. Live within means and be contented. I'll rather not be a low-income waiting for financial aids.....cos' these aids will never bring me up to what I can have as a middle income family. I dun believe govt owe me sooooo much, if I am so dependent on govt to help me.....my kids will be brought up expecting parents to provide for EVERYTHING too.
I am thankful for being born and living in SG cos' at least I am not begging on street, can lead a comfortable life (not world-class but at least there's MRTs, taxis, buses, clean tap water etc), do not have to face floods and lose my home.
My children have affordable education with there's little corruption....imagine having to give gifts/money to get everything done. I do not have to live in fear, afraid to walk alone at night or having motorist grabbing my handbag as I walk.....and many many more.
I am THANKFUL that I am born here and I am HAPPY here.
 -
One more.....I'm thankful that I can still manage without a maid for the time-being
The day when I need them around......xianzzzzzz

From the stuff that everyone is writing in various posts, can't help but get the impression that a lot are unhappy here. -

I concur with your views. Interesting to note you have mentioned a lot of things that you are satisfied with but these same things have draw a lot of ire from many people! Things like our transport systems, our income level, safe living environment, etc. How ironic but I have to say again I agree with you. I have been driving for many years and few months back, for some reasons, I stopped driving and started taking public transport and I am surprised to find out I have no problem at all. Yes, time taken from point A to point B become longer but can I really complain when it cost me only slighlty more than $1 to trave from Bt Panjang to Boon Lay? I think it is good to complain (sometimes) if our intention is to improve thing but we shouldn't take thing for granted. -
Yes, do give credit when it's due.
But the handling of maid off days seems high-handed. :offtopic:
