So can i say the 1hr or 2hr is just a guideline but it is not the actual lesson time. Will very much depends on the kid’s speed and understanding?

For my centre, there is a phone which the children can call their parents when they finished their work.[/quote] -
Hi Minnie, yes its very much depends on the kid...when my girl started she took about 40 minutes to complete 2 books. Right now, she took abt 1.5 hr since the level is much higher. Teacher always encouraged no coaching at home for the other half of the book to ensure she fully understands the concept. This way, the teacher will know her level of understanding.. So we always leave her to complete her homework independently

Hi, my girl is attending MPM in Guillemard Village. The teacher is always kind enuff to SMS me once she had completed her work...For my girl, she started MPM in February this year.
can the kid proceed to do more work after finishing that day's scheduled work? :scratchhead: -

The questions are in printed form, the child needs to write out the answers.Hi SAHM_Tan,bigsnoopy,
Thanks for sharing?are the questions in written form?
Any parents here whose child progress to Mpm from their jelic program? Does the child really need to complete all the 450 boxes before going Mpm?
My DS in Jelic, my DD1 in MPM.
If you go in at about 3plus, then you will have the chance to finish all the boxes in Jelic. But if you go in at an older age, then for Jelic, the child go in at the entry level appropriate for his/her level of understanding. There's no need to finish all the boxes before going on to MPM. However, there are some parents who request for older child to complete some of the boxes and at the same time taking on MPM. It depends on the amt of time and money the parents are willing to spend. -

The centre that my kids are in, the person-in-charge had her kids on MPM till P6.
I think it depends why you send your kids to MPM. Besides helping with my kids' math, I'm also looking at the thinking process skills, the visualistion skills. Of course it can be argued, these skills can be trained in other Maths enrichment programme. So far I like the materials and will keep them in MPM till I think the materials are no longer helping them to progress in maths and beyond maths

Hi bigsnoopy, when she first started it was book no 20 something...before the June holiday she was doing book no.30 something....then on the last week of June, her teacher got her to do book no.69 n 70...so this week she just finished book no 71 & 72...The teacher did skip some levels for her...I think so far MPM is good....at least a lot of thinking required....concurrently my girl is with CMA too. She loves CMA so much that she nvr wanted to quit...
