Her daughter is 6 years old, K2 this year. Understand from her it's the Tampines branch. At CPF building.
I guess different centre has different style of assessing that kid. There are many types of kids ranging from ADHD, autistic, dylisic, average, below average, above average, gifted kids who are benefitted from MPM.
How can ADHD level be compared with the gifted level? -

Hie,
I am new here & would like to find out more about Jelic for my 4 years old.
Any information which you can share with me on the teaching of Jelic would be much appreciated.
Anyone able to share their experience with centres at Tiong Bahru, Orchard.....
hie,
only certain branches have jelic prg. TB br does not have jelic, only mpm.
orchard br is located at orchard plaza, the bldg houses tailor shops, beauty salons, wat appears to be nightclubs & so on...... i am not comfortable with the environment (i doubt teacher would be able to bring the kids to the toilet in the event they need toilet visit) also, plc is very very small, partition further into 2 rooms..... i visited the plc on early sat morning, bldg was quiet. being a sat, classes were quite busy & teacher seems to be quite hurried, overheard a teacher saying \"quick, choose a color... red or xxxx\" however the lady whom i spoke to, Yan Ling was able to explain to me quite clearly what the prog was about, despite the distraction of students coming in for lessons. She came across as a patient & nice teacher. However Yan Ling does not teach the weekday jelic class which i was interested in....
Which branches without Jelic? -

I like MPM and think they have one of the better materials which are colourful and intriguing for the young. But that said, i think alot also depends on the centre/ teachers that teach the child. I have heard the teacher screaming at the child \" Quickkkkk, why you sooo slow\" in her broken Singlish and i was taken aback but DD said she was never recipient of that sort of treatment though it frightened her at first. To cut the story short, there's no doubt that the materials are fantastic but i do think that the owner of the centre have to make abit of effort to create a more condusive environment and also having more professional teachers to teach the kids. Afterall, the fees aint exactly cheap (SGD 440/term)
Which centre ?
