      LOLMum:

Over the past few days, I had a few times the luck to be one of the first cars to stop directly in front of the traffic lights. I notice that after the light turned green, the cars in the first row didn't move off immediately (myself included). I subconsciously waited for others cars to move off first unlike previously when I would just zoomed off.

Maybe it is the effect of the video, 😓

:hi5: LOLMum, that's what I insist DH to do - wait for other cars to move first! :rotflmao:

I not only kiasu ... I am now veri kiasi - worried for DH driving on the road

I always remind my kids never to cross the road immediately even though they see the green man. Have to make sure all the cars stop…bcos there are drivers who beat the red light. A friend of mine met with accident bcos of this…she was badly injured and needed dentures…only 22 then.

I do not buy canned food made in China…was told by many people the meat may not be what is stated. Although we do not eat luncheon meat often, I buy tulip brand from denmark. Should have QC and more trustworthy.

No way I will buy food stuff manufactured in PRC. These days if you notice the packaging, you though it’s produced in Korea or Japan but at closer look, there is a tiny PRC print. I am especially careful not to let my kids eat any PRC stuff. Will tell my kids’ teachers that if there are any China made biscuits or candies in their party goodies bags, pls remove them before my kids eat them on the school bus. Not saying that food made in other countries are 100% safe but I know PRC ones are obviously not safe. I cannot afford to take any risk.

Look at Taiwan, they are Chinese. But they don't have a corrupt government like China.

Sure, Taiwan has its fair share of fake products made and the corrupt food factories. But I dont hate them.

I'll quite warmly receive a Taiwanese to Singapore compared to a PRC citizen.

I'll buy Taiwanese products at shopping centers but not China products.

They are the same race, but to me, they are different. Because of politics.

                kekekekeke, seriously.............. :yikes: totally speechless.....

their former president is still in jail right ?

wow, pray tell, which ‘Taiwanese’ products are not made in PRC ?

ok, may be the ‘pinang’ they chew are not from PRC, and also, the maidens from Alisan are not from PRC … other than that, lots of fruits sold in Taiwan these days are actually from Fujian … and many more

                  reality check

I wish my teenage son has half d interest in current affairs dat u hv.
I read ur posts with interest coz I wld like to know how d young feel.

u made me think of Anakin Skywalker,
who held such great promise but ultimately let his past misfortunes n hatred
overwhelmed him to turn to d dark side.

I hope u will become like Luke Skywalker.
