I think even if killed someone in car accident, drunk or sober, the jail term is not long and license suspended or revoke. Thats all…

No death sentence. Court will slap the driver with driving license revoked, fine and probably a jail term. -

That is for premeditated murder and drug trafficking and kidnapping.. (not sure about discharging of firearms?)
as long as it is an \"accident\", that sentence does not apply.
