Ooh....i simply love Traders' Cafebiz international buffetCheck out the various credit card 1-1 offers at various hotels periodically. Currently, here are some very good deals by DBS / UOB:
1) Ritz Carlton - Green House Wed Ladies Nite DBS 1-1 around 58++
2) Meritus Mandarin Hotel - Triple 3 DBS 1-1 Wkday Lunch $48++
3) Traders' Hotel - Cafebiz UOB 1-1 Mon-Wed Dinner $45++
Highly recommend the 1st 2, gd value for $! Have not tried the Traders but the online reviews seem good.http://www.hungrygowhere.com/singapore/cafebiz/
Bon Appetit!
Been there several times, but at that time there wasnโt a 1 for 1 promotion
Only entitled to a certain discount % for UOB cardholders
Think it was priced at $50 or so
Wonder will the food spread and quality be equally good for the 1-for-1 promotion.....
There was a good spread of chilled seafood ( for weekend buffet, thereโll be more emphasis on seafood but cost more) .
includes lobster, big N fresh oyster and scallops
I personally preferred the BBQ big prawns
And dun forget to try their BBQ chicken wings, something diff in taste.
The dessert section is a must must for me for any buffet,
quite a variety of cakes, mousse and puddings.
Their durian pengat is superbโฆโฆ. โฆ almost gone the moment when they laid on the table....
(though some may feel that Ellenborough market cafรฉโs durian pengat still the best) -

Hi kitty2,
I've been to the one at Clementi Woods. I find it so-so and not really worth the price.
in terms of food, freshness, variety and ambience.....all thumbs down
(think only the $$ is attractive) -
haha, the one at jurong west gets the thumbs down from me too.
btw, wonder if we're allowed to say this on open forum. :? -

dun worry, mathsparks....consumers have the very rite to tell the truth isnt it??
if they are not happy with it, then they have to improve on it -
have anyone tried the buffets at the 2 casino hotels?

-
are there buffets at the casino hotels?
iโve been to the chinese restaurant at RWS, Hotel Michael. Its quite good. Fusion food. -

Yes, durian pengat was good
The spread was reasonable given the price. Oysters, I've definitely tasted better, but I paid a premium for the better ones.
I thought they did a pretty good job with the asian dishes - laksa, curry dishes etc.
