Highlight to higher management?? Hm…m my girl is in Primary 2 now and her form teacher is a new teacher transferred from other school. Qtn is why the new form teacher knows to pick the special girl to be the class monitress again?? I suppose there might be instruction passdown…who has the power to give this instruction?

That is why I’m disappointed the school is operating like Corporate world nowsaday.

        destineeC:
The memo for Term 2 enrichment has been issued.

However no arrangements for school bus stated.
Fyi, there is only 7 students registered interest with the school bus operator.
The school is saying \"You may call school bus operator to make the transport arrangement\" that is stated in the memo is the way they inform parents.
I'm kind of disappointed and I've decided not pursue this matter any further.
Really have to wish our kids: \"Best of Luck!\"

I am disappointed with this school too. Last time when I called to tell them the bus arrangement issue, the staff can tell me that \"last year we dont hve such issue, most parents csn fetch the kids by 330pm\"!
Didn't the sch realised most of them could be foreigners so obviously not both parents are working. why cant they be more proactive rather than reactive towards such situation. haiz!

              Hi,

I realised there is a previous teacher's daughter always given a chance to perform in every school events. I believe your child might know the person. From what I know, she is a daughter of a ex-teacher. Happened to be same class as my daughter. Always selected as a monitoress.

Worst, my daughter and her are both shortlisted to play piano in school. My daughter did well without mistake and confident she will get selected while the ex-teacher daughter makes a lot of mistake while playing. Guess what happened ?? The teacher chose her again!! I'm quite pissed off!! WHY?? She has already been playing during cny in a video broadcast to school. Why they don't give other talents a chance???

I will bring up this matter during parent meeting day!! Quite disappointed on this school. I hope to see fair treatment.

Hi, I think I know which girl you are talking about.... Her mother is the Music teacher there, right?

from all the reading, it seems this school is below par. just in case we can’t get into nan chiau in 2C, may have to settle for Springdale for 2C supplementary… getting a little worried now, is it that bad?

Hi, my girl currently studying P1 in SD. My girl was unable to get into the school that I wan, so we decided to choose SD.
Honestly, initially I have mixed feeling too, reluntant to choose SD because is new.
Now i have no regret. Actually I did ask my girl few days ago:’ What if some parents ask if you like this school?’ Her answer was firm, Yes. (And I’m very glad to hear that) Most importantly is she must enjoy going to school
Being a new school have their good points. Teacher can focus on the weaker student more. Can train them to be more independence, they are being ‘force’ to learn how to buy food during recess as there were no buddy.
The students too, will have weekly spelling, worksheets, holistic assessment, etc. (no different fr other sch)
Is really very hard to say now if this or other new schools are good, till we see the P6 result.
I believe the Principal, Teachers and the students are trying their very best to groom this school too.
Don be dishearted if you really come to SD, take it as a challenge and be grateful that your child is not so stressful as compare to ‘branded school’ student.

was checking the school website, it seems Springdale has no uniformed group for students? is it true? I think unformed group is good as it builds perseverance and discipline.
