      hee..hee...

The colourful pictures make you guys drool....

I love food with combination of colours - good presentation trick people to think the food must be tasty just by the look of it, which helps to gain points for the cook,haha...

If your salmon is frozen, remember to thaw it out totally and pat dry before cooking. Where do you get your salmon thats fresh enough to eat it raw?
Hey thanks for the tips. Actually salmon is the least fave fish for me, i love mackerel/batang, threadfin, promfret ....those more exp white fish 😉 ..

I usually buy raw salmon from the sushi section in Cold Storage / Isetan, hubby loves raw fish.

Me love Betty Crocker products too.
Came across this cake mix in Cold Storage a month ago when i wanted to bake BD cake for nephew to celebrate in his CC. At first bought Angel Cake Mix, then realised it;s too soft to add any icing/topping. So bought 4 packets of SuperMoist Yellow to make a large cake for 100+ kids and staff in the centre (tried the cream cheese icing - again edible but too soft for piping & decor).

Cake mix is real easy but i find Betty's too sweet.

Have you got any easy cake recipe to share?

This is the picture of the cake i made. (more like a trial run for son's BD in 3 months' time 😄 )

That's steam oven. 🙂 I am gonna get one too - most likely the Bosch model HBC36D750 (steam+conv oven). You could check out here
          http://www.bosch-home.com/sg/bosch/products/product-comparison.html?ps=HBC36D750,HBC26D550

There are also other brands you could consider - Miele, Teka, Brandt. Just watch out for features like adjustable temp, programming etc. Oops, these are the brands for built-in steam oven. The non built-in brands are Sharp and Panasonic.

BTW, can anyone tell me where to get the Betty Crocker stuff in Singapore? I have a visiting friend from Malaysia looking for it urgently. 🙂

              Hiya busybee

Very creative and really fun looking cake, YUMMY.
What type of cake you thinking of? I m not very good with cake, but I had tried Nigella’s Nutella cake receipe which is pretty easy and its really rich and delicious.

I m better with cookie and muffin, cos don’t need to separate eggs, beat them, fold them, etc. Also, I m a Smiling Orchid cake fan, cos their 3D cakes are fantastic, never fail to wow.

Me mostly will only eat salmon raw or cured (no oily fish smell), not cooked. But I tried grilling it once with the teriyaki sauce and it turn out pretty good. So it becomes quite a regular item on my list, also becos DS loves salmon. I prefer to grill mackeral or steam garoupa/threadfin, sometimes when theres craving for some spicy fish, I like to cook asam curry with snapper.

                      For deep fried food lovers!

Grate root ginger. Squeeze out the juice.
Marinate chicken thighs/drumsticks with soya sauce(Kikkoman recommended), sake and ginger juice. Leave it for 30 min.
Coat it generously with corn flour and deep fry!

What is root ginger? Is it just ordinary ginger? :?
