Read in The New Paper yesterday that there're people who actually post their birth procedure online on YouTube! The Singapore couple cited reasons such as to share their birth experience with others and also to \"store\" it so that when their child grows up and ask how he was born, they could just refer him to YouTube!
Few months after my C-section, discussed with DH about it and we wondered what I've went thru under the knife so he downloaded some videos from YouTube for 'reference'. It's really scary watching them! At least I had an idea how many layers are cut and stitched back. :!:
Most videos I've watched are the Ang Mohs.
You mean surgeons/docs/hospitals in S'pore allow parents to video the birth procedure (natural & C-section)? -

I'm not too sure but the newspaper article states that some Singapore hospitals disallow taking videos of the birth process while others need to seek consent from the gynae. This particular Singapore couple mentioned that they found those in YouTube are mostly from \"ang mohs\", which are also more explicit. Singapore ones are milder.

I canβt find the video in you tube when I tried to locate yesterday.

I am those kind who will not scream like hell when I am in pain. While having contractions, I kept very quiet and closed my eyes to stay calm.
I was like that too cos I'm already using up my energy to deal with the pain, where to find extra to scream? I only remembered to grab inanimate things like the car interior on the way to the hospital and the railing of the hospital bed when I had contractions cos I know sashimi will need his arms intact if he were to help me after the delivery.

I don't scream either although I would want to very much. I was twisting my hubby's hand & inhaling the laughing gas so much that I started giggling with mixture of groaning.
But...the delivery suite tv remote control broke. -

Lucky sashimi. I was the \"inanimate object\" that my wife used for pain-relief. The first time my arm was practically crushed for almost 2 hours towards the end of the 12 hour delivery period, and for good measure, she had an arm wrapped round my throat. I could only whimper and take comfort with the thought that I am at least feeling some of the suffering she was going through. The 2nd time around I was a pro... even managed to shoot a fantastic video of the 1st moments of my daughter's life with just my right hand. -

Hmm...I didn't try to locate the videos in YouTube. The report in the New Paper did post some shots from YouTube. Quote: \"The New Paper found almost 20 such videos of born-in-Singapore babies, among thousands from all over the world on YouTube and other websites.\"
According to the report, a video of a caesarean section taken at NUH was seen almost 700 times, and that you have to confirm to be over 18 to watch it. It's also reported that there's a warning label stating that it's not suitable for minors. -
ChiefKiasu:
When I was in pain in the labour ward, my hubby suddenly asked me : \" You must be very painful \", I asked him why he knew it, he said : \" I knew it because I am also very painful. You have been squeezing my arm so hard that it got bruises already.\" :oops:schellen:
