This is my last post here.
Am glad that Kelvin Ong has decided to do the right thing and take down his Aristocare Website and stop giving GEP tuition. I am relieved that no more parents will get bluffed by him again. Again i remind all parents to check their tutors past history and qualifications.
He should not have done what he did but what’s done is done. Because Kelvin Ong has taken down the Aristocare website and is no longer giving GEP tuition, I have deleted all my comments on him and Aristocare in this thread and forum (other than the posts on Aristocare’s GEP preperatory class and individual tuition rates because i made a mistake about his tuition rates and to be fair to Kelvin Ong of Aristocare, i have posted up the correct Aristocare GEP preperatory class and individual tuition rates instead)
I wrote about Kelvin Ong’s and Aristocare’s Accounts and Tax matters in this thread and asked whether they kept proper accounts and paid their taxes properly to IRAS and I feel bad for doing so. I have deleted those comments.
I wrote it while I was angry and i should not have done so because i have no knowledge about Kelvin Ong’s and Aristocare’s Accounts and Tax Matters and should not have commented on it. If i had made any errors or unfair judgements about Kelvin Ong’s and Aristocare’s Accounts and Tax Matters, I apologize to Kelvin Ong Wee Loong and Aristocare.
Everybody deserves a 2nd chance. Hope he does not let us down. -

My personal view - Parents are willing to fork out such monies because of DSA. Like what GEP parents have mentioned, 80-85% of the GEP kids get COs in IPs via DSA. Thus a seat in GEP at p4 gives a child 80-85% chance of entering a good IP at P6 DSA exercise. To me, this is a more compelling reason for these parents to fork out $15K than face or pride of having a GEP kid.
That's why my personal view is that MOE reviews the whole DSA exercise. What is the true meaning and purpose of DSA?
Most GEP kids are bright enough to get into IP via PSLE S1...
Also, GEP program should be enjoyed by the able kids themselves with no parental involvement. It's ok to hand in a less than perfect project which is the kid's own piece of work or get lower marks for GEP exams if there are no DSA considerations.
