Surprise that this con artiste is still happily operating as usual….nothing wrong to be deceitful and cheats??

Whether he is providing value for the amount of money charged probably has to be determined by the parents who buy his services.

With questions raised on his integrity, one is not sure about the other claims made on the website (such as success rate, success stories etc)

For the benefit of many others, perhaps the reporter can investigate and others can help to verify (other than asking his mother??).

According to the Straits Times article

\"....The parents of at least two children have also asked him to remove from his website 'testimonials' purportedly coming from their children saying they had done well in the Maths Olympiad after attending his sessions, and would recommend others to join. The parents said their children never wrote any such thing.....\"

His website states success rates of 100% and 80% for both stages of GEP screening/selection tests.

This is quite an astounding success figure. Not clear whether this refers to those who have 1 year of prep ($13k to $15K) or those who go for 2 day crash course ($1.6K). With this kind of odds, surely a number of people will buy into this.

His figures are based on what his mother tells him lah. :rotflmao:

From front page of website, 80% get into GEP, 50% topped their schools, and interestingly, they have Kenneth Ong and Brandon Ong quotes as MD of Aristocare and Director of Aristocare, perhaps the reporter should interview them, coincidentally both are also Ongs.

Coincidentally, a Eunice Cheang contributed in this KSP website that her sister sent her nephew to Aristocare for this GEP course and got into GEP and studying in ACS. Not sure if both Eunice Cheang are the same person.

Please stop this conman! This should not only be in the GEP thread. This need to be publicized. This Kelvin Ong of Aristocare has lied about his qualifications to not only those who want to be trained into GEP. He claim to teach Math Olympaid and how to enter DSA and IP. He lied about his qualifications to everyone even schools who hire him as external vendor. He also lied to reporters from newspapers many times.

A lot of his student parents are rich and know the powerful people. He cheated them and they are very angry. He is unrepentant. He doesn't care that he cheated so many people of their money and time.
Those who attended the class could pay (and did pay - otherwise they could not continue) - but some probably sacrificed on other things just to pay. The fact is, he advertised under false pretences. Whether the person can afford the money is immaterial.

There are plenty of unqualified tutors out there, but they don't charge an arm and a leg. He demanded such a high price based on his claims of special knowledge (ie. ex-GEP teacher, top school teacher for 12 years), and promises of results (GEP success rate, Olympiad platinum and gold). Now that we know he lied about his background, his other claims will be called into question.

                        This is CBT.

Could the kids have done just as well going to some other tuition centre eg. Morris Allen - who charges about $30/hr?
