@titank & jtoh: thanks for the insights on the two schools. Indeed, as a PV, I will feel very disappointed and upset if the school takes in much more PV then it could offer in real places and give false hope plus wasting a precious chance
We were deliberating btwn RMPS and RVPS and were more impressed by RV. We ain't too keen in the rest of the schools like ZDPS etc n wld probably go to Cantonment Pri as the backup plan if all else fails since it is just opposite our place. So far, I've heard good testimonials abt Cantonment PS from existing parents, and thinking positively abt going to a nearby neighbourhood Sch will be time savings that cld be used for attending enrichment classes?
Meanwhile, I'll just do my best in fulfilling my PV duties @ RV and pray really hard that I've taken the right \"train\" since we only have time and logistics for one PV path \"ticket\" :xedfingers:
Why don't go for 2 PV (RMPS & RVPS)? At least with 2 PV tickets the chance of winning is greater. :rahrah: . In fact last time I also wanted to do for ZDPS, the Principal said don't have to do, sure have chance to enter. In the end the result is totally 360 degree turn. :scared: -

I have noticed St Magaret Primary does not have many registrations as noticed in past few years. Maybe the location of the school is a considering factor for some parents. It is located inside of a CBD area where have to pass in ERP gantry? :boogie:

RV is also very low in Phase 1 this year… anyway we are going for 2A2 for RVPS
-
There be quite number of intake for Phase 2A(1), 2A(2) & even Phase 2B (60 volunteers but don't know is it for those born in 2005). It would be history during my time where only balloting surface for those more than 2km.

what happen to St. Margaret ? any changes to the school ? standard drop ?

Just to add on on the trend of PV for RVPS.
I did PV for last yr enrollment and there were appx 39 appln for the 41 places in phase 2B.
I believe the increase of PV for 2005 and 2006 got nothing to do with the principal. It is the result of more savvy parents who want to apply under phase 2B. In fact the appln was already hitting close to 60 by Jan, which explains why they closed the appln instead of the usual cut off in May/Jun. Also, the School took an extra step to "survey" among existing students (ie my son) to estimate the number of appl for phase 1A so that they can gauge the chance of PV for phase 2B. (There was an exceptional high phase 1A for my year of enrollment that caught everyone by surprise).
Limiting PVs at 30 may be ideal but one probably need to register much earlier to be eligible.
