School or MOE decides the class size? From the numbers given on vancanies available from each school, it looks like class size is 30 as the numbers looks like mulitples of 3 and my child in one school (which is full) has 30 students each class.

I just found out one school has all its primary one classes wtih 35.
Can someone tell me what is the class size for most schools especially the popular schools. Thanks

There is something wrong with the article.

"Those who live closest to the school of choice get more ballot slips should there be a need to ballot when there are more applicants than places available"

          Never heard of that.

It should be corrected as parents got priority if they stay within 1km for each phases.

Nothing wrong with this article if you read it before the new rules kicked in this year.

Up till last year, during balloting, citizens have 2 balloting slips n pr only have one. Surprised you have not heard of it.

Some time this year before pri 1 registration started, moe changed the rules and gave citizens priority over pr in the registration.

            Simple as that. šŸ˜„

I am the mum who got 2 ballot slips last year but that does not mean if I am within 1km I have 2 ballots slips and if I am > 1km I got 1. The article simply implies that if you read it carefully which is wrong.

Looks like they bought this during property slump. In 2012, probably worth double the amount now!

NB. St Marg 1 SC, the other 25 PR has no time to withdraw and register at another sch due to last min registration by SC.
Not too sure if there are any PR that did not withdraw from the other schools but the number should be negligible.
