My girl told me that her school teacher informed them that they are not allowed to make annotations and highlight on the question booklet. But throughout this year, they have been taught to highlight keywords in the questions. This helps to steer them towards answering to the question(s) asked and avoid careless mistakes.

I just made a call to the SEAB, and was also informed that there is no such instruction in the rule book.

Anyone heard of similar instruction in your kid’s school ?

      thanks & cheers,
      Shell

It is apparently that you should not mark or highlight on answer sheets. But for questions sheet like science paper 2 and English (OE), you are allowed to highlight etc.

highlighting on answer sheets is of cos not advisable… question sheets should be ok.

just don't make markings too near to answer blanks and don't write anything on the OAS!!!
