the hot weather has started. Has TNS allow her students to wear PE attire to school instead of school uniform?

Not today for P3s at least. Understand that P3 taking their school photo today. So must wear school uniform.

DS told me his teacher told them they can start wearing PE attire to school from next week onwards.

Primary 3. DS is very nervous cos this is somewhat like the first SA1 examinations, since first 2 years are very much like honeymoon. Plus he said his class got so many smart alexs!

                  Hi

Appreciate if any parent can help to recomend me a Chinese Tuition Center for my P1 girl. Her Chinese is weak and I hope to find a tuition center to help her to build a good foundation for her Chinese.
Thank you very much for helping.

I see some Tao nan students attend Yuquan at level 4, marine parade. Maybe u can try. Another one is Tien Hsia, level 10 @parkway parade centre. They follow closely to sg moe Chinese syllabus, many students go there, quite popular.

But if you want not just exposure to sg moe Chinese syllabus only, but also exposed to more "ke Wai", then u can try jiang Lao Shi p1 3 hrs class @bugis, fu Lou shou complex. Over there, they will drill kids to study both p1 sg Chinese moe syllabus + expose yr child to Chinese learning curriculum from Taiwan, Hong Kong and china chinese syllabus. So it depends on what you want.

There are a few components in Chinese (p1 to p6) -
Chinese vocab (ability to recognize & able to read aloud the words), han yu pin yin, bian pang zi, Chinese idioms & useful phrases usage & application to writing Chinese composition, & Chinese oral.

When you say your child is weak, you must Identify which area yr child is weak in. And then ask enrichment centre whether can help your child in that particular area yr child is weak in. Bec enrichmt centre got diff strength.

                      Dear Phtthp,

Thank you very much for your great help to share your opinion with me. Appreciate very much! 😄

My girl cannot read chinese character without the help of han yu pin yin even the simplest word and her understanding of han yu pin yin is also week. She was not expose to Chinese learning during her preschool.
She dont speak chinese at home and she dont like to read chinese books. My chinese is also not good too and I can only give her very minimum help . Therefore I need some help from the tuition center to lay good foundation for her before she goes to upper primary.

Please give me your ideas again if is not too much inconvenience to you.

                      Thanks lot.

My girl in P3 has been given some Topical Tests for English and Maths and some Practice Tests. Does anyone know if these count towards the overall tabulation of their results for the whole year? Or only the SAs are counted? Cos when they were in P1 and P2, I remember these regular tests carry some weightage…
