      hi new here...

Just manage to get a seat today.
Wonder who else are in the same situation. . can share share ideas...as we go along..

Hi! DS also will be tns next year! We received letter for P1 orientation held on 15th Nov. Can parents join in?

Parents do not join in as per se.

The kids will be \"orientated\" to their teachers/ classroom and around the school. The parents will have a briefing by Principal and then will go to their classroom (the kids would have left to walk round the school), check their particulars, fill in GIRO form (it is good if you have the bank account numbers with you, otherwise you have to probably returned the GIRO form on the first day of school), dental consent form etc. You can buy the uniforms and books on that day, or come back another day as the queue will be very long.

Fees are paid thru giro but from your savings account... Not cda.

                      hi tns parents,

For pri1 , I understand that the children will be in pm session. Would like to chk , what is your p1 child schedule like… what time wake up… what time do homework… I am a ftwm, I need to work out time to supervise her homework…
The problem is my girl hit the bed at 930 and I reach home at 7. i wonder if it will be a better idea to put her in student care so that others could help her…

I am also FTWM. My DD hit the bed at 10pm and I usually reach home after 8pm. So what I do when I reach home is to make sure she finished all her school's HW and revise whatever tingxie/ Spelling for the next day (take note some kids take time to \"warm up\" hence may need 2-3 days revision but luckily my DD can do last min revision the night before).

DD is with grandparents. In the mornings, she will wake up at 9am for good days or at 10am for some days. Wash up, bathe, makan, watch TV, dilly dally a bit, will be at 1130am, time for her to board the school bus to school. So can hardly squeeze anything. If she has piano lessons, I will wake her up at 8am, before I rush off to office.

P1 and 2 - just have to make sure the child understand everything taught in class. No need for tuition or extra assignments - the child will be fine if she pays attention in class. DD gets above 90% for all her class tests/ exams so I am happy.

But my friend tells me before school care will indeed help you with their HW and tingxie/ spelling - so I guess it is a matter of choice if you want to do it yourself (but will be tiring cos I make sure I pack her to bed before I have my dinner at 10pm and my housework thereafter).
