mummies,
trust me…next year during this period, you will tell yourself I’ve ‘survived’…sounds so scary, but those going through will understand the feeling.
all the best for math paper…have you checked all your stuff? ruler, 2B, spare batteries, calculator? -
Just4Fun:
I extracted the above communications from Club 2002 thread, page 512.
:thankyou:GLORYmum:
Ksp, just4fun,
Thanks for your support.
Glad to be of service to our wonderful community provided I am not travelling during that period.
All the best to your kids for psle this year.
Cheers.
thanks Glorymum, you are such a great asset to this forum.
Will report to you DS's school result. Hope rest of the mummies/ daddies will do likewise.
Wah piang, we r only at the start of the race, and yet already talking about the results!
I want to make it clear that there was no demand made to Glorymum . Just a request. She did respond that she would accept it provided she is not away. Since then, I hv not heard she has made holiday plan, so still living with the assumption that Glorymum will be helping out.
Yes, there is absolutely no obligation . Glorymum had done an excellent job last year and since she will be away this year, otherwise she will be glad to do so, some other kind soul will hopefully come along to contribute.
I just want to make it clear from my standpoint... There is no demand or insistence, from my postings or any others that I had read thus far, that Glorymum has to do the compilation this year. -
GiftedGem and I had discussed this yesterday yesterday. Both of us will be glad to help compiling the scores this year. However, as both of us are working mummies, we may not be able to provide promptly update, as we may hv to attend office matters. Being first time PSLE mummies, we will most likely at our Individual schools to hear n receive the results.
So if parents do not mind such delay , GG n I will be glad to offer our service. -

Must both be connected ? Can book sales be the setting the writer was in, but cheering involving a separate event ?
My Ds wrote a separate event in his composition..do they minus marks?Clearsky:
Need to check, what was the compo scenario? Booksales and loud cheering? or shopping centre and screaming? Hearing different things!!
Ds said book sales and loud cheering. -
PSLE 2014 Top T Score - Am I being nominated to do this job?
Oh gosh… doing the statistical info… will try…
Wow…din know I have good supporters like sleepy and phtthp that think I can do the job well . Thanks:)
Certainly, I am most glad to help and having to rope in Just4Fun’s expertise will make my job easier. Of course, we will count on P6 Mommies and Daddies to share and provide the info on the day of result.
Cheers !
Btw, I have miserable 100 KP$ only.
New announcement w.e.f 1st Oct : Every new thread created will charge 50KP$.
My bal 50KP$ after utilisation … so sad. -
If the children can connect the loud cheering with the book sales, they would stand to score higher for content - one child wrote a fight broke out between some boys over the books bought. Many others I heard wrote a separate event - abusing animals, disturbing a bee hive at a tree nearby the mall, bullying toddler, etc.
In my opinion, I think they would still accept the separate event as long as they can close the gap of the linkage with the location but probably can’t score as well in contents.
Come to think of it, the compo questions are not difficult but it needs a very calm mind to think through to create a good storyline and the children were under exam and time pressure. Believe they really want to spread out the scores this year. -

We're need to yak more here..
To hit 1000 posts.. Let's hello u hello me until both of us reach the KSgrandmaster status !!!! -
My ds chosen the continuous writing and wrote about a blind man performing some stunts with the aid of his dog and people are cheering. In conclusion, he wrote dogs are man’s best friends and he would like to have a pet dog. Is this storyline acceptable or out of point? Thanks

Acceptable and nice storyline.
Having to state that dogs are man's best friend is a good form of reflection.
Was the performing location stated near the book fair?
Did yr DS mention how he would take care of pet dog in the end?
