hi parents…build up the momentum slowly…don’t lose steam too early.

kids taking psle this year are ‘horse’ babies…what’s the number taking psle this year?
-
Thank you so much weilingohwl, firefly38, johnyeo…I am a sahm and I have two boys. DS1 is P6 and DS2 is P4.
went to a meeting with school teachers and principal recently for P6. was astonished by how much I don’t know and ‘un-kiasu’ as compared to the rest of the parents fm my DS’s class. So trying to enrol myself here to be in the niche, too overwhelmed by the way they questioned the HOD’s. HOD’s teaching my DS’s class. -

I can so relate to that. DS1's CA1 is 3 days away and he has not done any proper revision at all . No time becos of CCA and piles of HW. Saw some of his answers to some Science Qs last nite and realized he was nowhere near ready. What to do? There are 24 hours only in a day! Told myself CA1 got to just lower expectations ... a lot .
mine is having in early March. So stressed that I am so teary
recently, but not in front of my family. Gets emo :siao: just by reading any article when I am alone in the morning. Then feels better after I cry. So far, for the past week already.
Feeling the jitters :gloomy:
Keep telling myself to stay positive. This weekend is firefighting time! -
Nightmares.:

Not really. Coincidentally, it was rhe same year MOE decided not to release top scores and also decided that the PSLE scores will be graded by bands soon. MOE seems to be attempting to apply less stress on the PSLE. 0.72 is pretty accurate, probably what I would have gotten if I hadn't stepped up my game in the final few days. :hi5: Maybe you're just afraid you'll lose business if it becomes known that PSLE is going to be easier?Maths Tutor Mr. Lim:
last year psle maths paper is a jokes, happen about once every 50 years :rotflmao:
psle exam paper difficult or easy not important, why?
% of A and A star (standard Subjects) National 2013 (2012)
eng 44.4 (44.7)
maths 45.3 (44.5)
science 42.0 (42.3)
chinese 77.8 (80.7), think...............
0.75 = 3/4 easier to remember compared to 0.72 (use by school teacher)
both also not accurate, need to +-10 or +-20
may be 0.7212348903489234879352 more accurate :rotflmao:
more than 100 if, not just 2 if, think........
eg
if fainted during exam :rotflmao:

Drop CCA if it is not going to be used for DSA? Some parents will :torchme: me by saying it but I am being honest.

I am of the thought that unless the child requests to drop / stop his CCA, we should let him continue for as long as he wants.
The CCA, though might take up some of the revision time, will keep the child sane, and provides a balance from the academic persuits.
