Not many existing members will resign. They will just attend meeting to clock attendance. They still can retain their member status and enjoy some of the benefits :evil:It is also depends whether the RC has hit their maximum members which is around 30.
It even takes longer as you will be waiting for some existing members to resign or move house. -
Daddy
Suggest not to do so. Else the chairman will become suspicious that you are up to something. Might make thing worst. Unless the chairman is open to this type of joining RC just for P2B benefit.
If you have a tight dateline for your EM application, then you have to keep asking about the application status... -
in our rc, we know who are people come to enjoy the benefits of phase 2b. Those only clock attendance and not helping in events, we will ask CO to write a letter. Those never attend meeting for 3 times according to PA rules, CO will write a letter too. We are very strict because there are too many observers queing up. Those who move house and change address on their IC, we also asked them to step down and transfer membership. We are also nice people, we give residents chance to enjoy phase 2b benefits, but must do volunteer work lah.

is there a maximum cap or limit to the number of letters offered to 2B ?
for kids born 2007, > 300 parents applied for PV, but Rosyth took in handful.
for kids born 2008, PV scheme abolished. This path is cut off.
since Rosyth abolish PV - the only way out for 2B is come here. Many parents will apply at Rosyth GRC.
what if a few hundred applicants rush to Rosyth RC apply (the only route now) - from now, they'll have sufficient time to volunteer.
come July 2014 registration for P1 2015, how many letters will be issued to 2B parents ? -
If I am not wrong, each RC/NC will have its stipulated number of members including EMs and Observers etc so unless this changes or my understanding about this is incorrect, it is unlikely to have few hundred GRL holding the P2B GRC letter from PA.

Hi
I know this question has been asked before but hope someone can just help me confirm, if I start at RC/NC only end of this year, will I make it in time for P1 registration in 2014? ( ie DS starts p1 in 2015?)
Or do I have to join now ASAP?
Thanks! -

End of this yr is too late. Join asap is of course best! Latest I guess is before Jun this yr provided everything go smoothly after that - the initial screening/admin process, becomes observer, promotes to EM (1 yr before Jun 2014).Hi

Thanks for the reply!
I’ve read many pages of this thread and surfed the PA and still abit confused.
1)We have to serve the GRC which our house falls in and which also covers the primary school right?
But the RC/NC only covers a few blocks… So do I serve at my block’s RC or the school’s RC?
2)Strangely, Nan hua says this year they have no idea which GRC they’re in tho last yr under Holland. Can’t find on the PA website either.
Hope someone can help
Thanks! -

Thanks so much in advance!
