Hi I am staying in tiong bahru ie under tanjong pager grc. I am keen to enroll my child in radin Mas primary school which is under the radin Mas smc. Can someone please help to advise if I become a GRL with my RC which is under tanjong pager grc, can I apply for radin Mas? Would radin Mas smc be considered as a "subset" of tanjong pagar grc so that I can also enroll? Also does anyone know which are all the primary schools under tanjong pagar grc? Greatly appreciate your kind advice thanks!

Lee kuan yew , indranee, lily neo , Chun sing and shi Lu are under tanjong pagar grc! The MPs are different from radin Mas smc who has their own MP.

My question is if I can’t apply for radin Mas under GRL then it means I must try to apply as a PV? Can someone pls help as time is running out for me to apply!

When are you registering for your child?

If time is running out for you to apply as a PV, you are most likely too late in your attempt to apply via the GRL route.

My child is born in 2008 so I have to apply for either PV or GRL now. I think I still have time but need to apply ASAP!

Firstly, I don't think a GRL under Tanjong Pagar GRC can apply to a school in Radin Mas smc, just because Radin Mas is next to Tanjong Pagar. If so, then so would GRLs of West Coast grc apply to Radin Mas, or GRLs of Holland-Bukit Timah apply to Bukit Panjang, etc. But this is just my opinion.


Secondly, if you are so running out of time, why don't you just apply to both GRL and PV right away. You won't have this headache if neither accepts your application, or only one accepts your application. Of course, you will have another set of headaches if both rejected you.

1) find out which schools lie within 1 km, within 2 km or > 2km from your house.


may type in your address with Singapore postal code. The answer comes out on the spot:-

schools appearing within BLUE zone Circle: < 1 km

schools appearing within RED zone Circle: 1 to 2 km

schools appearing outside RED zone Circle: > 2 km

AFTER you had identified which school(s) fall under less than 1 km, 2 km or greater than 2 km from your house - next call up those few respective school(s) you are interested in. All school(s) should be able to tell you which GRC their school falls under.

If admin staff handling phone call doesn't know - ask to speak directly to the P1 registration Officer in charge for (past few years + coming July 2012) P1 registration. She will know.

MOE won't know.
You need to call up individual school find out and ask. Because every few years due to general election campaign, GRC for schools may change. Thus, need to call up school obtain the latest info - which latest GRC school falls under ?

find out which GRC - your house falls under.
call up nearest PA branch for help. Provide them your address, your block number, postal code, etc. If PA doesn't know, ask who else in PA can help confirm which GRC your house fall under ?

another way -
your house downstairs near the lift lobby got notice board normally hang up posters about faces / names of your MP, or the name of your RC (Residential Committee), your Town Council. From there, you can trace.
