No. Anyone can serve at MPS without joining any GROs. Usually they will try to persuade you to join party when you serve at MPS as MPS is run by branch party members.

Do note that helping out at MPS does not entitle you to any privilege such as P2B. It's simply volunteerism. -

so do we have to serve at the GRC we live in which do not have the choice school we want? or can serve at another GRC with the choice school we have in mind (but only stay within 1km from choice school)?

Anyone know if I volunteer in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC, am I eligible to apply for any school in this area under phase 2B? Or I have to go to the RC that’s nearest to the school’s zone?
Also, is it too late to be a GRC volunteer now if registration is in 2014? How do I apply to be one?
