Time is running out for u. U should be an observer by nowHi,
My son is born in 2008, can someone tell me if I am still in time to join RC for P2B? -
May I know if an observer will be given any formal letter to acknowledge thsat they r really an observer?
Else who will keep track and promote them in time to come?
Can observer be promoted anytime or only during the formation of a new comm?
Is there any moe website that we can find out which schools r under which Grc?
Thanks so much. -

Observer is not an appt so no official appt letter from PA, however, PA will inform you to meet the Chairman prior to attend meeting or attend meeting straightaway (depends on the chairman's practice). PA will know when you join and also RC will have MoM as evidence. Promotion to EM is not automatic and time-based, it depends on the performance/commitment of the observer as wll as available vacancy. Confirmation as EM can be anytime. MOE used to show the schools by GRC but removed since 2 years ago. Cheers!May I know if an observer will be given any formal letter to acknowledge thsat they r really an observer?

Thanks, originally i understood from a colleague that observer will only be promoted to EM if there happens to be a committee to be formed. And I was worried if i would be able to meet such a chance.
Thanks! -

It depends whether there are new housings are on the way. I know constituency like Punggol, there are many newly formed RCs. This is a good chance for becoming EM after half a year.
For mature estates, hmm, difficult to say.
Why don't you join MPS first. Get to know the MP personally and you will get to join as a Branch representative to RC events such as Block Visit, etc. Target the chairman of that particular RC that you are residing in. Get to know the chairman and CO in charge. Mind you, this process will take at 3-4 years to build up. -
Dear parents,
My child will be due for P1 registration in 2014 (born in 2008), we know chances may be slim that we have enough time to go by ‘Active community leaders’ route but would like to give it a shot.
Our condo will be ready next year and just found out that there is not NC formed yet (heard that there are others interested as well) so we are clueless on how to volunteer our services at the right place and also if NC is not formed by the time of my child’s registration, what is likely to happen? Does our services rendered at the other NC count to qualify us for Phase 2B? -
hi timtim,
firstcruch son is born in 2008.
he’ll be registering for July 2014, for 2015 P1 intake.
can kindly advice - whether firstcrunch still in time to register his son under Phase 2B through "RC" option?
Thank you very much for kind advice. -
phtthp:
It's highly unlikely firstcruch can make it as he/she needs to be an EM on/before 30 Jun 2013 (exact 1 year to 30 Jun 2014 - the year of P1 registration). From registering with PA to be come EM, needs to set aside at least 1 year to be safe.hi timtim,
