Thank you flobby! Btw how do I apply? Do I just walk in to the RC to ask for form?

I think you should walk into the CC,
tell them u wanna qualify for phase 2B next year, or next next year,
and request for the RC application form. -

Don't think it is a good idea to ask for a form quoting you want to qualify for Phase 2B. Wonder how will those PA counter staff will look at youKK27:

SMC - Single Member Constituency.Sorry what's a smc? Think am under the amk grc.... Thus was wondering which RC shld I go for to be eligible for the list of schools that was listed?
We can apply under 2B as a normal committee member? What's d min duration?
Tks!!
You should have a RC somewhere near your block. Check out the notice board near your lift lobby.
Normal Committee Member? You must be a Executive Committee Member. Normally you will be an observer (around 1 year) before the RC Chairman nominates you to be in the Executive Committee. -
You also ensure that you stay within 1 km from the choice of school.
I know recently phase 2B balloting involved Not Singaporeans and those who live outside 2 km.
The school accepts Singaporean and live within 1KM.
Is that means Non Singaporean stays within 1 KM also must ballot? -

phase 2B and before, no distance priority.
phrase 2B onwards, if balloting required, Singapore citizenship and distance priority applies.
I have read an article here b4... gave very real examples..... can't recalled the link though. -

In short, priority for SC and home-school distance comes into place from P2A to P2CS. Only P1 is excluded. Of course, schools are seldom over-subscribed at the end of P2A (but the possibility is always there). -

Hi, from previous posts, I read that to get priority as grassroots leaders under 2B, you have to be active in the GRC you stay in, and it has to be the same GRC the school is in?
How do we find out which GRC the school is in?
Iām staying within 1km to Maris Stella, and my house area is under marine parade town council (MPTC). So Maris stella has got to be under MPTC as well to get priority for phase 2B?
Appreciate advise please, thanks alot!
