Yes, when you are been confirmed by your RC Chairman, you will receive a letter informing your appointment. You will also receive your Grassroot membership plus your Passioncard.

If you did not receive all the above, it means that you are not being confirm yet. Check with your RC Chairman on your application.

Dear all, an Important circular was issued by CED on 11 APR 14 regarding changes to P1 registration priority schemes for GRLs.


There are two important changes:

1) Min service requirement will be increased from 1yr to 2years (period served as observer do not count)

2) GRLs/District Councillors are only eligble for schools in the GRC or SMC they reside;

i.e. e.g. if you stay in Tampines GRC, but you serve in our CCMC, the priority scheme will only allow u to qualify for schools in Tampines GRC.

The changes will take effect starting from the 2016 P1 registration exercise for admission to P1 2017.

Members who wish to be eligible for the 2016 P1 registration must be appointed by latest 30 June 14 to qualify for min 2 years service criterion.

No quota, you'll get it as long as you are eligible and meeting all the criteria.

hi everyone, need your kind advice:


I have been serving as a Grassroots Ex Co member for sometime, but my residence is 2km from the school of choice. We have an alternative residence within 1km of the school of which my hubby IC is registered with.

Can you advise in such a scenario, can i apply for phase 2b as a grassroots leader? And use my hubby's address to apply for phase 2c?

Will it be an issue to have different address in this case?

Hi,


If you are an Active Grassroot leader, you can apply for a primary school within your GRC zone under Phase 2B. (Does not matter if it is out of 1km-of course within 1km will be better, just in case it required balloting)

Not too sure about the Link.

But for Phase 2B, the registration date is on 21st July and 22nd July. Result will be known on 25th July 2014.

Is the alternative address rented out?

There was a case where the tenants and owners applied at the same time using the same address. In the end, the tenants application was accepted but not the owners.

It should be available around mid-May. Your CM or CD should inform you, if not, can check with PA. You will only be able to apply if you're eligible (meeting all PA criteria). After online registration, you will receive a letter in end May or Jun which you need to bring to school during P2B.
