You can check this website on the list of school within th GRC that you serve

      http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/listing-by-grc/

Not quite sure about the change of address but you can't be serving the NC then and should be changing to the RC/NC near to the new address. It shouldn't affect your membership as you would have attained it at least one year ago? You can call People's Association to check on this.
ok thanks. i got it. so the executive membership is valid across the GRC and not just for the individual NC.

those other committes you have mentioned are not eligible. Either RC or NC.

No auto to 2C and no more priority if unsuccessful in Ph 2B.

If it's volunteer only and not for the purpose of getting priority to P1 registration, I guess yes. But do check, no all committes are accepted under this P2B registration. Pls check MOE website. Women's commitee is definitely out.

                        Hi,

Iam new to this forum and it is very interesting to read all the information. Iam in the same boat as many of you with a 4 year old son.

We recently bought a HDB house and I was closely observing all the details for this year P1 registraton. Only after that I am wondering if I have done the right choice by buying a house. we bought our new home 6 months back.

We live more then 2.5kms for the school Iam targetting. I thought of enrolling in RC but will it help if Iam in more than 2kms.

We don’t mind renting a place closer to school, but we would not meet the HDB minimum occupation period of 3 years by the P1 registration for 2010. I really don’t know what to do.

Is selling the house only choice? Any idea? Can I lock my current HDB house and rent a flat closer to school. Is it legal? All these thoughts are running in my mind for which i don’t have answers, so please kindly let me know the details if you are aware of them.

thanks to all the parents who are helping in giving their valuable information and experience.
