This is one reason why some parents ask MOE to have one more criteria - those staying within 500m. No difference.

1. these days there are so many high apartments, surely the one staying on ground floor is nearer than the one staying on the 50th floor

2. some houses on straight line is within 1 km from school, but on driving distance, due to road conditions and traffic routing, U-turns etc, is more than 1km....eg Shelford to NYPS...or Farrer to RGPS...

Wahaha, powder or dyanamo, if this comes true, then we will see a sudden opposite trend that lower level apartments suddenly cost more than those higher level ones lol...

Hi friend, what kind of POWER do you possibly have to create another critera ie 500m, ? Ms Lee Bee Wah asked recently if the Education ministry can have a new distance criteria for those staying within 500m and was turned down.

Obviously Miss Lee's table tennis bat doesn't have much power to initiate a new criteria - 500m, within 1km, bet 1-2km and >than 2km. So I think she should stick to what she does best.
