How about baking egg tarts ourselves? It's definitely more satisfying than store bought ones. :?

It may be cheaper to cook certain things at home...but must calculate if it is worth...for eg, almond paste, pandan chiffon cake, egg tarts. If I can ask hubby to get them, I will enjoy 3 yummy food instead of sweating over one treat.

True....if money can solve a problem or craving fast, then why not? 😂

I have yet to find really great egg tarts in SIN. I like the ones in Macau and yes, the ones in Ipoh. There is a coffee shop that sells the famous Ipoh white coffee, they also bake egg tarts and Siew paus on the spot. The egg tarts are simply divine! Cheap too. Yum!

The egg tarts from 良晨美景 is the flaky crust type, which I like. Base on the pic tankee posted, the Tong Heng one is the shortbread crust type. Tio bo?

Another place to get nice mini egg tarts is Peach Garden (Thomson plaza).

I am very patient when it comes to craving. I wait..... For days or weeks even. So hubby can always be \"in time\" to dish up what I crave. This time, I will have to get the egg tarts myself. He's out of town till mid nov12, if no extension.

              But still... 😢 今晚怎么办•••

今晚帮不了. Drink water and sleep. I am sure you will have sweet dreams tonight. 2moro, buy Crystal Jade egg tarts. I am also suffering after seeing the pic.

Heng ar.... 平平安安的过了昨晚••• today, must go and buy one to eat!

Wah… Egg tarts we also can talk 6 pages…

                Anyone prefers Portuguese egg tarts?

I am not particularly a fan of egg tarts. Maybe haven’t found something that I really like. But I like KFC egg tart, Portuguese egg tarts, bengawan solo egg tarts.

when it comes to food, there is no problem reaching xx number of pages...but now, the 'subject' is only egg tarts. :rotflmao: there is the traditional type like tong heng and portuguese type...here in singapore, we are really blessed.

I am also not a fan of egg tarts. But any one remember there was this brand from Hkg last time that started the oval shaped crumbly crust egg tarts. Is it St Honor’s or smthg like that.

I remember queuing up to buy boxes of them to treat my admin n ops folks at close of qtr.
