hi all,


I just called CHS.... as of 4pm, there were 44 applicants in phase 2A2, which means only 18 left for both 2B and 2C.... i.e. ballot for 9 places each.

I am also in the same predicament as some of you... Catholic and <1km... sigh!

I think in KSP.com here alone there are already more than 9 eyeing for CHS.

I think PV is always good. You'll get to know the school and can make an informed decision on whether it is the right one for your child. I know of a parent who PV-ed at a top school but in the end, opted for another one cos she didn't like their CL HOD and prog.

No, not reduced intake. Intake is the same...210 max. The siblings & alumni formed the bulk of the registration this year... :shock:

CHS is a full school for those who are not aware, any siblings of their secondary and primary are eligible to reg in phase1 and 2.

Oh yes..overlooked the secondary section.....

That's also my question.

It's so so sad for a Catholic to be turned away by a Catholic school within 1km of home. So, Mamemo, at the present stage, we are treated the same as the non-Catholic parent volunteers and worse than non-Catholic old boys who live >2km away.

At balloting, priority goes to Singapore citizens vs PRs, by distance only. I don't know if the principal would even consider our religion at the appeal stage. I don't know if the principal of CHS is even a Catholic so why would he pity us? sigh

I understand your concern, but if say CHS is a lousy catholic school, would you want your child to go to CHS (near to your home) or find another better catholic school further away from your house?

I'm sure there are also Catholics in Phase 1 and Phase 2A1/2 too.....only that we do not have actual data. We understand your concerns.
