Hi lilipitz,Taobaby,
These to be brought and submitted to teacher for use and keeping in class. By 6 Jan.
-maths 1A activity book, part 1 & 2 and red file
- English stellar handwriting book and blue file
- 4 exercise books (single line, big spacing)
- 1 drawing block for art
- social studies activity book
- health education activity book
( afternote: the practice/arrangement might vary for different classes. Pls check w form teacher)
Our son had just received all these today! Saw the blue book too, and completed the required information. However, we only need to submit 3 exercise books...(for spelling/dictation, maths mental sum and English writing).
BTW, does anyone requested to bring the Penmanship English Workbook? I read it in my son's letter and wonder what was that? Not in the booklist too...
Thanks,
Fabbymum. -

Hi p1 mommies.
Just wanna share some nuggets of info my boy shared with me.
Glad that he was chatty about school today.
Usually I have to keep asking him and not much details come out.
Anyway, I also take some of the things he tell me with some measure of salt
since he may not remember the things as they exactly happened.
- in the hall, the teachers will tell them 'cross your legs', and children will respond 'and sit up straight'
- he seems to be doing mostly drawing and he says he's 'busy' in class
- he happily told me that he spoke Mandarin to a friend on the school bus, and that he used Mandarin in class. ( he is quite a 'kentang')
- he still can't remember his friends' names
- when I asked him what is the happiest moment today, he says recess time
- when I asked him what is the saddest moment today, he says none
- they have to stand up and bow and greet teachers at the start of each class. He was laughing in amusement showing me how he bowed. I had to remind him to take it seriously
- he says he likes the school song but cannot remember how to sing it. And that the school song can be found at the back of the pupil's handbook
That's about all. Hope he continues to share his day with me.

Wow! Lilipitz, your son shared a lot indeed! Good to hear this from him!
Let me share some from my little Fab:
1. In the school hall, they were asked to bring one story book everyday. Simply because, while waiting for 1230 hrs, any student who comes early are required to sit down and read their book...- I like this idea.
2. My son mentioned that the toilet is clean, but in the canteen, there is no handsoap for washing! He is so used to having his hands cleaned properly before and after meal...he asked me to get a lawyer to tell the school!!! :rotflmao:
3. Food can be purchased from the school canteen next week onwards, this week, they had all catered food if they choose to eat in the canteen.
4. His class teacher will be choosing a class monitor and class leader very soon...he thought it was so cool to be one. But to us, it doesn't matter...as long as he enjoys schooling.
Hope to share more next week when they are more settled down

Fabbymum,
Your son is so cute to think of getting a lawyer to address the handsoap issue.

Hi!
Heard from a parent last week that there was a Chinese test last week. 50 marks. Think itβs for streaming them for their Chinese class.
