Thats a bit messy. Previously my 2 ds actually have the general office called me up to ask how I want to put my ds's name as their name is too long. So when I went for the orientation, I actually pay and collect the name tags from the teacher.

Thank you for sharing your experience. At least I won't be having too much expectation on that day.

Hi, is higher Chinese offered in Anderson? How is the PSLE results last year?

Yes, from p1. 264

They actually take higher chinese until P4. After that they will have streaming as per MOE requirement. Then it will be split into Foundation, Standard and Higher Chinese. For my son batch, they actually cut off at 85 marks for higher chinese and 40 marks for standard subjects.

Are your child told to do the ask n learn English every week? Each week, there are about 20+ topics to cover, do you have any concerns?

My ds in P3. Not sure about the no. of topics to cover, but he will complete the assignment online.

Did your son’s form teacher collect the Newsletter/Notice acknowledgement slips?

Hi Sunflower74, my son spend abt an hour on the online assignment. His teacher do collect back all the acknowledgement. But my elder son teacher in P5, dont do that sometimes.

1-2 weeks before orientation. Yes, one is enough to fill up all the forms. Your kid will join the class for the orientation. Parents stay behind for admin work and talk.
