Hi Deskibi
I signed up as PV in DS's first year. Have to admit I wasn't active, cos most timings are not suitable for me. Only went for one Learning Journey and was lucky enough to help out with DS's class.
Hi Rejoice & Astee
DS hasn't been to class these 2 days as he was having fever. Hope there isn't too much homework for him to catchup.
Astee, unfortunately I can't attend the MTP session as I have to rush out CNY cookies. Hubby will be attending; I'll ask him for update so can share share here.

Hi Bluebellas,
Yes, a number of kiddos falling sick because of weather and new adjustment to school hours. My DS also complained of throat pain and i kept pumping him with water and reminds him to at least finish his one bottle during the school hours. Hope your DS is recovering well. There are few forms for completion - CCA/Teacher Anu letter to parents and a SFE event on 18 Jan. Not much homework this week from the FT and MT class. Hope i didn't miss out anything.
CNY Cookies (EYES BLINK!!), do you have samples for the Parents here...
So we can order from you too...
Hope your hubby can manage to take as much notes as possible to share with us... :boogie:

Hi Bluebellas,
Hope your DS will recover soon. My DS1 also started to cough today. Think it is time to bring him to see TCM.
Looks like I will be attending the 3D MTP session. Hehe. Hope the helpful 1 Hope parents will fill me in after that:-).
Hi Astee,
What SFE event on 18 Jan? Think my DS forgot to pass me the letter again. Haha. Will check with them again tonight. -
Hi Rejoice,
Oh dear, seem like the virus is going around, pump in more Vit C too. Water is a must. Yeah, you will be our representation for 3D.
There is an upcoming Parents Workshop organised by School SFE and the talk is scheduled on 18 January. Closing date to register is 16 Jan, so you still have time to indicate your interest. I have a prior appointment so will have to give this a miss..:(
Yeah, just first week of school and there are so many forms, so naturally the kiddos will miss out one or two...

My DD is in 1A but I have not seen any PTM form or SFE form. Should I check with the school?

Hi Beauty
My 1B DS got the Meet the parents letter on tues together with the time table. Got some details about 25 jan n to RSVP. No SFE letter so probably think the course not applicable for P1 parents⦠Since still a few weeks away, maybe u wait till next Mon then check as teachers work differently. Some classes got time table on first day of sch but DS received on 5th day.
Hey by the way DS was telling me a child came over asking his Chinese teacher to go over 1A as the teacher in that class was attending to an injured child who fell n bled on Wed. I was like huh β¦ β fall until so serious?' -
Hi Beauty79,
Yes, i believe PTM is for all levels, so the parents get the chance to know their kid's 2013 FTs.
As for the SFE event, Ninjago is correct - it's for P3 to P6 parents.
@Ninjago, oh dear, hope the affected child was not too seriously hurt. Yes, kids of these schooling ages are hyper-active and some will challenge the limit. Sigh...we just have to constantly remind our DS/DD to be careful in their daily activities in school.beauty79:

Hi,
i am a new member here .
my girl is in 1D β¦ currently i am facing a problem β¦
think my girl is having separation anxiety every morning .
She will start to tear when we reaches school .
This morning , the principal even had to pull her away .
Iβm not sure how long this will last or if i need to highlight to her form teacher .
She also doesnt seem to like to form teacher who looks quite fierce .
anyone got such problem ? -
Hi Ninjago,
Wow, a drama at the school. Hope the kid is all right. Agree with Astee, kids this age is fearless and active. If it is boy, I think a few scratches here and there build character :-). DS1 once fell backward from a piano bench during a music lesson (not at primary school ) and has to be carried in an ambulance to hospital. Haha. He often talked of the rare experience.
My teo boys already received their time table on the first day of school. But they were told that it is a tentative timetable. Not sure if they are ready to give out the official one yet.
Hi Mao,
Welcome to the forum. Glad that you found us and willing to share with us your pain and joy of being a parents. Did your girl go to a kindergarten or childcare before P1 and did she behave same way there? If she has not attended per-school before then it will take few days or weeks for her to get used to the separation. But if you think she is showing unusual separation anxiety, then I would suggest you talk to the form teacher to find out if there is some reason that might have caused it. The school may be able to help her to feel more at ease in the new environment. Hope this help.
