thanks for your reply. I dont mean remedial classes, actually its supplementary class, usually the whole class will do it, not only for weaker kids. I used to see p5 n p6, staying behind after school doing supplementary classes, esp term 2 onwards.

For p3 and 4, they have scheduled 2-3 periods in their class timetable for supplementary periods. I think its sufficient for the kids, not necessary to stay behind for extra supplementary. During those supplementary periods in class, they did more challenging pract on math and eng.

Last yr my child p3 chinese creative writing class was by Edustar, I guessed this year they have changed vendor. Under Edustar, my child did learn quite a fair bit from their materials.

Not sure about your but I realised recently that the school has alot of last minute supplement class for my P5 boys. Because he is in the Maths Olympics class, therefore he missed his english supplement class.

To me, I feel that the school is not organised and why last minute?

What are your thoughts?

Did you speak to the teacher to understand why there is a last minute supplementary. For my child, this term he has remedial class but I understand that mostly teacher will arrange remedial for student who fare below average based on class performance.

Hi monster mommy, what I understand is the whole class will attend so is not for e below performance student. There is a form to be signed 1 or 2 days before e supp class start.

I see. I believed that it would be best to check with teacher in charge as not sure whether teacher’s purpose is to push up the class standard. For me, I am agree that last minute information doesn’t do good as there are logistics thing to arrange by parents. Should feedback to the school.

You are welcome. Would like to understand since your elder is in P5. Do the school currently try to complete certain syllabus by end of this year and leave time for next year to prepare PSLE.
