Keming Primary

Hi all,
My son mentioned that the form teacher didn’t release top 3 positions for Primary 2. Do they still award top 3 positions for respective classes?

Hi everyone! I am thinking of putting my son in KMPS However, would love to find out a little more about the school.
Do the P1s start with Higher Chinese or normal Chinese? If it is normal, how did they pick the pupils for HCL in lower Primary? I read somewhere that KMPS offers HCL at lower primary. Not sure if it is true.
Also, how is the curriculum? Does the child has a lot of homework to do and supplementary classes to attend?
How are the teachers too? Had heard some ‘horror’ stories of the teachers there. Ain’t sure if what I heard is true.
On average, how many pupils will score 240 and above for PSLE? Anybody knows?
What about CCA? What is the niche CCA for KMPS?
Thank you in advance for your sharing. -
Dearest parents,
My son gg to 1pearl this year. Any parent son or daughter in the same class? -

I find that KMPS is just like any other gov pri sch without a historical or religious affliated legacy, notwithstanding it is one of the more popular schs in Bt Batok.Hi everyone! I am thinking of putting my son in KMPS However, would love to find out a little more about the school.

It is not a SAP sch, so. HCL is not compulsory. They do stream the kids for CL though, but I do not know if HCL is offered coz my kid's CL is very 'lan'. The info is not released or only made known to those parents need to know.
Curriculum is standard. Teachers are hit/miss. I think the PSLE scores are not a function of the school but more on the parenting. Their niche CCA is Wushu apparently. -
Security policy extra tight at KMPS this year? Parents not allowed to accompany P1 to their assembly area… might as well not issue the parents pass, drop off at gate can already… wasted my time to take leave for day 1.
Also, no photo no cameras allowed. My frens happily posting from other schs leh…
Cars not allowed to enter n drop off kids.
Is KMPS becoming a Mindef or Home Affairs facility?
VP says no security manpower, need to shut the back gate … where are the parent volunteers? -
My son was in P1 in 2014. We were not allowed to accompany child to assembly area. Think is to minimize separation anxiety. That year we were to go in during recess time to observe from far how do they behave n buy food from stalls. They have a p2 buddy also… They have many pv helping out during recess time also…

Heard those top 3 positions last year should have all receive letters already for coming prize giving. It was done discreetly so those who never receive means have to try harder this year.Hi all,

Anyway, if not wrong, only those top 3 students from every class will be attending the price giving, as well as their parents too. Also heard that those ex students whom got selected for GEP last year will also come back to their ex school Keming to receive award. -
It seems teachers are recruiting the P3s for CCAs.
My DS ‘kay kiang’ put up his hand & was handed a sign-up CONSENT form that says "(I the parent) will ensure my child attends the workshops on the dates specified."
Very high handed indeed. Where is the portion for the parent to indicate consent/non consent?
The timing of the CCA is every Fri 2-4pm. If no one can fetch my kid how to go? This teacher should be more empathetic - the family needs to be able to support. Not every home has a stay-home parent/grandparent or reliable maid.
