For the orientation on 9 Nov, its starts at 8am, does anyone know what time it will end as I am wondering if I should take half day leave.

I did call the school. The school clerk said about 12 noon to 1pm. You definitely have to take leave. Your child must be there too.

The school will send a letter to inform you about which day to buy uniform and school books.

Nearer to the date we should be receiving letters to inform us.

Usually in Oct, parents will be invited to go to the school office to formally register their daughter, sign up for the bus, buy school uniforms, etc.
Then, in Nov, there will be an orientation day which the incoming P1 students have to attend in their new school uniforms. Teachers evaluate the students on their reading and basic arithmetic ability, to identify students who need extra coaching before P1 lessons start. On orientiation day, the older students put up performances for the incoming P1 parents to showcase the various CCAs.
