tinkerbell:
Hi Tinkerbell,hello all,
Hope you dun mind, it may be a bit too early to join cos my gal will only be there 2 years later
Planning to enrol her under 2A(2) next year, even tho i stay w/i 1km of Nanhua. Hoping to get some good feedback prior her enrolment and maybe meet some potential parents :rahrah:
My daughter was an ex student of the school (even tho I am within 1km of Henry Park!)and I am quite involved in the school. Happy to provide you with objective feedback.
Why are you choosing this relatively unknown school?[/b] -

Not sure on the duration of the orientation too.. Do not think it'll be too long right? I'm just wondering where to park on that day. Its sure going to be crowded and I'm sure there'll be plenty of cars and not that many lots available.
Hi Maizai,
Orientation is usually about 2-3 hours (especilly if you intend to buy books, etc) I think. I'm no sure if it will be the case this year, but the school may have arrangements with St Teresa's church next door to allow parents to park there. The side gate is vey close by. Otherwise, there are many lots in the HDB apartments just adjacent to the school. -
hihi, thanks thanks. will pm you.

Hi Kiasu-not! Glad to see someone whose child has been with Kellock.

I just received all the admin forms and book list from Kellock today. We can start buying books this wed-fri. I'm just wondering why can't they send us the forms earlier. Not sure I can take leave in such a short notice.
Btw, on the book list, there's this compulsory mechanical pencil with blue lead. Kiasu-not, can you share with us why do we need to buy that? Is the pencil special other than its using a blue lead? Cos I doubt my daughter knows how to use a mechanical pencil. She'll break the lead all the time cos she's using a lot of strength when doing writing. -

i haven’t got my forms yet…
can we buy the books on other days ? what about the uniforms ?
any other info ? -
Hi, yes, there are other dates. For this week, its soley for P1 so I guess its not so crowded. The other dates are combined with the other levels. Sales of uniform and text book are all from the bookshop in the school.
The dates are :
16-23 Nov
30Nov-11 Dec
14-30 Dec -

Did you managed to order the books ?
I received the letter on Thu & tried to order online last night but the site said \"it's already closed\"...
We can't buy more than 1 set right? -
Hi,
Does anybody know that whether the children need to wear the school uniform on the orientation day on the 21st November 2009? -
don’t think so right as haven’t even buy the uniform…
for the textbook - how come the English ones are not included ? Is it cheaper if we buy at Popular (with member card) -
Hihi.. was too busy the last few days to check this forum.
I managed to go last friday to get the books and uniform. I think the website is down. I tried ordering online too and got the same error mesg. For uniform, I need to go back to change for a smaller size as the blouse I've bought are too big for my daughter.
Oh yah... the lady told me our daughters need to be in sch uniform during orientation day itself! I asked her what about those whose parents didn't manage to buy the uniform prior to orientation, she just shrugged her shoulder.
Shizta, they only have the grammer book. No Maths text book too. The bookshop lady told me the teacher will write on the blackboard and students present their answer on the whiteboard. Btw, why would you want to buy more than one set?
