Maybe the parents really love their alma mater and want to support and actively contribute to their schools development. Not everyone make their move only because they could get any priority or privileges for their kids in school registration.

I highly suspect that a lot of parents still don’t know that the system has changed and that they no longer get priority.

I look at that in this way, supporting and contributing to one's alma mater is a \" Good Action\" 善行, even the parents finally know they no longer get priority, the \"Good Action\" was done. Of course , we can remind them this year new measures on P1 registration here.

Of course, any contribution and support is always welcomed as it benefits the school. But, paying a fee to have the alumni status only, has a slightly different purpose.

Hi all, I am enrolling my child to RMPS P1 next year. I like to check does the after school buses goes to tiong bahru mrt for after school care centre? Understand P3 will have CCA/extra lessons, for this case the school bus won’t be waiting for the students and they won’t have the transport to the after school care right? Then we have to find those after school care within walking distances to RMPS? Thanks!

You need to contact the school and check with them whether the school is having - \"Primary Schools with Parent Volunteer (PV) Scheme\" and how to apply.

If you wish to do PV, you must also be familiar with the deadlines to sign up. Most schools require at least 1 year, and the last day to sign up is in the May/June time period. I've heard of rumours of some schools requiring 2 years of PV, but not verified. You have to call up the admin office of the specific school to find out, as different schools administer the PV scheme differently.
